In addition to milk, we produce eggs, pork, free-range chicken, and beef. Each is free of antibiotics and hormones. Our cows are raised on grass.
Our pigs enjoy a diet full of skim milk and organic grains. They live outside in the sun with room to root for bugs and roll in the mud. We plan to begin experimenting with pastured pork in the summer of 2007.
Our laying chickens are free-range all year round as we haven’t yet built a fence that will hold them. We lock them in a building at night to protect them from predators. In addition to bugs and green growth, we feed the chickens organic corn, organic flax, sunflowers, organic millet, organic oats, and organic alfalfa. We will attempt pastured fryer chickens during the summer of 2007.
All the animals at the farm are allowed plenty of fresh air and clean space.
